Hey all,

A few months ago I posted a video of my band "missFlag" playing a cover of Still Alive. Many of you liked it, even though the sound quality wasn't too good.

Well, since then we've received literally thousands of requests for a high quality version.. so we decided to hit the studios and record the song properly!

It's now done and we've released it as a free MP3 Smile

(Unfortunately, I'm still not allowed to post URLs here... if someone would be kind enough to visit missflag dot com, click on "portal song" and post that URL, I'd be most grateful.)

*Edit* I lied and I just listened to it.

Only part where I thought "WTF!!" was when you said "Black MEEsa" It's pronounced MAYsa...

Very nice! You guys even took my advice and put that break after "except the ones who are dead"!

yeah and I agree with the "black meesa" thing. Also noticed he said "rechurch" instead of "research".

Yup I guess we mispronounced the word "Mesa"... it sounded like "Meesa" to us in the original. Our mistake.

That's what makes me hate portal, there's a whole fanbase around it who doesn't even have a clue about the main HL games.

I've played all the Half Life games, I guess I never payed close attention to the pronunciation of that word.

It's not like they ARTICULATE the word MESA in the games... when said quickly it can sound like "meesa".
