Prerequisites

How to create a func_buyzone

First create a basic map, add some playerspawns and a light if you want to.

Choose the brush tool and create a cube shape that will represent the buyzone volume, then re-texture the cube with tools/trigger texture.

Select the brush and tie it to an entity (ctrl+t) then you can change its class to 'func_buyzone'.

Select the team property and select the appropriate team from the dropdown menu.

You're done! Compile the map and walk into the area where the buyzone volume is and you will see the buy icon light up.
