Description
Gordon's trusty crowbar returns in Half-Life 2. Forged from steel alloy, this weapon will put a dent in whatever it strikes--whether it be an obstruction in the way or an enemy's head. This is the first actual weapon you find, and not too different from a tool picked up during the original Black Mesa Incident.
Techniques
Best used when out of ammo, to conserve ammo and to break crates. Useful for groups of, or single, small fast-moving, melee-attacking enemies. You can swing it at any nearby enemies (especially good for battering Headcrabs if you time the swing to coincide with the beast's jump), and is also useful for breaking apart wooden barricades and other scenery you don't wish to waste ammunition on. Also use it to bludgeon lone Zombies or Police, and in tight spots (such as ventilation ducts).
Targets
- Crates
- Headcrabs
- Man Hacks
- Metro Police or Soldiers (only when you have no other choice)
