description

An entity that controls screen fades.


properties

  • Name targetname(target_source)
    The name that other entities refer to this entity by.
  • Duration (seconds) duration(string) - default: 2
    The time that it will take to fade the screen in or out.
  • Hold Fade (seconds) holdtime(string) - default: 0
    The time to hold the faded in/out state.
  • Fade Alpha renderamt(integer) - default: 255
    Alpha of the fade, where 0 = fully transparent and 255 = fully opaque.
  • Fade Color (R G B) rendercolor(color255) - default: 0 0 0


spawn flags

  • 1: Fade From - default: OFF
  • 2: Modulate - default: OFF
  • 8: Stay Out - default: OFF

  • Kill(void)
    Removes this entity from the world.
  • KillHierarchy(void)
    Removes this entity and all its children from the world.
  • AddOutput(string)
    Adds an entity I/O connection to this entity. Format
  • FireUser1(void)
    Causes this entity's OnUser1 output to be fired.
  • FireUser2(void)
    Causes this entity's OnUser2 output to be fired.
  • FireUser3(void)
    Causes this entity's OnUser3 output to be fired.
  • FireUser4(void)
    Causes this entity's OnUser4 output to be fired.
  • Fade(void)
    Start the screen fade.

    Fired in response to FireUser1 input.
  • OnUser2(void)
    Fired in response to FireUser2 input.
  • OnUser3(void)
    Fired in response to FireUser3 input.
