Source(core) Point Entity


description

An invisible lightsource that changes in some way over time.


properties

  • Name targetname(target_source)
    The name that other entities refer to this entity by.
  • Parent parentname(target_destination)
    The name of this entity's parent in the movement hierarchy. Entities with parents move with their parent.
  • Pitch Yaw Roll (Y Z X) angles(angle) - default: 0 0 0
    This entity's orientation in the world. Pitch is rotation around the Y axis, yaw is the rotation around the Z axis, roll is the rotation around the X axis.
  • Entity to point at target(target_destination)
    The name of an entity in the map that the dynamic light will point at.
  • Light color _light(color255) - default: 255 255 255 200
  • Light brightness brightness(integer) - default: 0
  • Inner (bright) angle _inner_cone(integer) - default: 30
  • Outer (fading) angle _cone(integer) - default: 45
  • Pitch pitch(integer) - default: -90
  • Maximum distance distance(float) - default: 120
    This is the distance that light is allowed to cast, in inches.
  • Spotlight end radius spotlight_radius(float) - default: 80
    This is the radius of the light, in inches, at the object that it is hitting.
  • Appearance style(Choices)
    • 0 - Normal
    • 10 - Fluorescent flicker
    • 2 - Slow, strong pulse
    • 11 - Slow pulse, noblack
    • 5 - Gentle pulse
    • 1 - Flicker A
    • 6 - Flicker B
    • 3 - Candle A
    • 7 - Candle B
    • 8 - Candle C
    • 4 - Fast strobe
    • 9 - Slow strobe

  • 1: No world light - default: OFF
  • 2: No model light - default: OFF
  • 4: Add Displacement Alpha - default: OFF
  • 8: Subtract Displacement Alpha - default: OFF


inputs

  • Kill(void)
    Removes this entity from the world.
  • KillHierarchy(void)
    Removes this entity and all its children from the world.
  • AddOutput(string)
    Adds an entity I/O connection to this entity. Format
  • FireUser1(void)
    Causes this entity's OnUser1 output to be fired.
  • FireUser2(void)
    Causes this entity's OnUser2 output to be fired.
  • FireUser3(void)
    Causes this entity's OnUser3 output to be fired.
  • FireUser4(void)
    Causes this entity's OnUser4 output to be fired.
  • SetParent(string)
    Changes the entity's parent in the movement hierarchy.
  • SetParentAttachment(string)
    Change this entity to attach to a specific attachment point on it's parent. Entities must be parented before being sent this input. The parameter passed in should be the name of the attachment.
  • ClearParent(void)
    Removes this entity from the the movement hierarchy, leaving it free to move independently.
