  • It seems Hammer does not accept the "$translucent" part of the VMT and it does not appear transparent in-game. "$additive" seems to work but it makes the objects behind the glass lighter than they really are, which is not the desired effect. Does anyone else having the same result with this tutorial? --Jimius 08:44, 25 Jan 2005 (EST)
    • NOT CORRECT, you are probably using Photoshop 7.0 in which is a bug that does not save the alpha layer for a transparent texture. The $translucent keyword works perfectly --Killer Monkey
